The Giving Ladder Challenge

We are excited to invite you to participate in The Giving Ladder Challenge — a unique opportunity for local businesses to come together and multiply their impact on survivors of domestic violence and in our community.

At The Hiding Place, we provide aid in emergency housing placement, safety planning, and critical support services to individuals and families in crisis. Our goal and mission is to create safe spaces for survivors. Last year in 2024, we provided services to over 350 survivors and over 150 children. This year, we are on track to serve over 450 survivors and over 250 children. As demand increases, so does the need for sustainable funding — and that’s where you come in.

Here’s how the challenge works:

We’re calling on generous businesses like yours to climb The Giving Ladder by donating at one of the following levels:

$500 – Community Supporter
$1,000 – Empowerment Partner
$1,500 – Champion for Change

Each level directly fuels our mission and because this is a matching challenge, your donation has double the impact — every dollar you give will be matched by a generous group of sponsors.

What you get in return:

$500 COMMUNITY SUPPORTER- Advertisement on website and socials, tax-deductible receipt
$1,000 EMPOWERMENT PARTNER- Benefits of previous level, Newsletter Recognition & Printable Certificate of Survivor Support
$1,500 CHAMPION FOR CHANGE- Benefits of previous levels, Recognition at our October Gala + 2 Free Tickets to Gala

To donate, you can visit our online giving platform at givebutter.com/thegivingladderchallenge or by mailing a check to PO BOX 154 Sunset, SC 29685 (Checks must be made out to Channel Missions (our parent organization) with The Hiding Place in the memo). All donations are tax deductible and you will be given a receipt directly from us after we receive your donation.
