Hello, friends! I'm Jules, and I'm thrilled to share my journey as I prepare for The Joy Ride - a 2 day, 165 mile bike ride from Miami to Key West. As someone who has dedicated the past six years to the field of Infectious Disease, particularly in the realm of HIV, this event holds a special place in my heart. I may be new to cycling, but I’m not new to the vital work needed to support those living with HIV. Every mile I pedal represents a commitment to those who rely on these critical services. I’ll be surrounded by fellow riders, all sharing the same goal: to raise awareness and funds for those in need. With the full support of CAN Community Health—complete with pit stops, first aid, and even a relaxing overnight stay at Hawks Cay Resort—I know this will be an unforgettable adventure.
The Joy Ride isn’t just about cycling; it’s about making a meaningful impact in our communities. The funds raised will directly support five incredible agencies—Broward House, Compass, EPIC (Empath Partners in Care), Miracle of Love, and Pridelines—who provide essential services such as housing, healthcare, mental health support, and HIV prevention and treatment.
My background has shown me the challenges faced by individuals living with HIV, and I’ve witnessed firsthand the transformative impact that proper care and support can have. By joining this ride, I aim to amplify their voices and ensure they receive the resources they deserve.
I invite you to join me on this journey. Your support can help change lives. Every dollar raised goes directly to the benefiting agencies, ensuring that we can provide critical services to those affected by HIV and other challenges. Whether you can contribute financially or help spread the word, every action counts. Together, we can pedal toward a future where everyone has access to the care and support they need. Join me in this ride of compassion, and let’s make a difference one mile at a time. Thank you for your support, and I can’t wait to share my journey with all of you!
