This November, I am once again participating in a 2 day, 165 mile bike ride from Miami to Key West. This is a charity ride supporting various AIDS and LGBTQ Service organizations throughout Florida. This ride, now called 'The Joy Ride' pledges to give 100% of what you give to the benefiting service agencies - your donations are NOT used for overhead, expenses, lodging, food, etc. (Those are covered through rider registration and sponsorships). That means you will make a significant difference in the lives of those at risk, infected, and affected by HIV/AIDS, whether that be through medical care, pharmaceutical care, housing, transportation, case management, prenatal, recovery from addiction, education, mental health issues or other needs impacting an individual’s ability to experience joy. Our brothers and sisters in Florida need our support as they continue to be the target of anti-LGBTQ legislation, discrimination, and harassment. Anything you give will be a help!
