Let's Give! Let's Gooooo!
Sunday, November 19th, 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM CST
In Person
During the 2023 season of giving, the Jaden Sebastian Blake Foundation is hosting its “Let’s Give! Let’s Goooo!” Fundraiser to drive awareness and increase the number of blood donors of black heritage. Blood donation is a vital act of service that can save lives. However, there is a shortage of blood donors of black heritage, meaning black patients are less likely to receive a blood match when needed. By increasing the number of blood donors of Black heritage, we can help to ensure that all patients have the blood they need when they need it most. Join us in making a difference! Three ways to help 1. Help us raise $250 or more by December 30, 2023, by starting a page and promoting our fundraiser to your friends and family. Log into https://givebutter.com/thejsbf to start today. 2. Purchase a ticket to the JSBF Fundraiser on November 19th 3. Donate to the Jaden Sebastian Blake Foundation Our work to increase blood donations by people of color has already been record-breaking, and we must continue to do more and do better. We’re asking for your support so we can goooo!
Story
The Jaden Sebastian Blake Foundation is a 501(c)3 organization, that was created to honor the life and legacy of Jaden Sebastian Blake and continue the work he started. Jaden was a vibrant and passionate young man with a zest for life. He took community service and social activism seriously.
Jaden died on November 13th 2022 after a fatal car crash. One of his favorite acts of service was blood donation. He was fascinated by the number of people he could help with just one simple donation. Upon his death, Jay inspired many with the ultimate gift of life he gave others through organ donation.
The foundation focuses on increasing awareness, knowledge and participation in blood and organ donations, in people of color. Under Yvonne’s direction the Foundation is partnering with National and Local organizations to achieve this goal.
To date, over 500 units have been donated in Jaden’s name!
