In honor of Leigh Crawford - a wonderful person and will be missed! Making kids smile was so much a part of her! Some of the quotes from kids we served and she collected in the 2017/18 school year: "You guys do a great job!" "I need a hug!" "These are the toppest notch!" "This is the best food ever!" "It looks like we have a feast!" "This tastes like top chef!" "Salad ROCKS!" "I took all the food on my plate - the slider, the coleslaw, the bun, and some pieces of apple an made it a sandwich. It was the yummiest lunch!" Of the Turkey Bolognese: "This pasta changed my life! It was magical!" From a volunteer: Two smiling girls greeted me with: "hello Mr. Patachou!" - a good start :) A quote from Leigh: "At the end of the meal I was surrounded by kids at the serving table just hanging out and chatting, asking questions about the food & about Maddie (our cook). These relationships are just as important as the food!"
