Established in 2018, The Union is a nonprofit program of PACE. It is the first black-owned and longest-running co-working space in WA state. The Union was the first and still the only space in Seattle purpose-built to combine the support that entrepreneurs, artists, and educators need in their growth and development journeys. With an ever-increasing focus on media production, we have been providing creators of African descent with programming and services dedicated to helping them thrive in the creator economy.
The Union operates as a co-op multimedia studio with numerous residencies to support people of African descent in the Seattle metropolitan area in their storytelling journeys. In addition to a co-working, education, and events space, the Union also operates as a fully equipped media production studio to support the creation of multimedia, namely audio, photography, video, and film content.
