About the Wardrobe

The Wardrobe (formerly known as Career Wardrobe) is a Philadelphia-based nonprofit social enterprise dedicated to eliminating clothing insecurity and empowering individuals to succeed in work and life. Founded in 1995, The Wardrobe has helped tens of thousands of people overcome barriers to employment and independence by providing professional and everyday clothing, styling support, and confidence-building services.

Through a unique combination of free clothing programs for those in need—such as interview and work attire—and a public resale boutique, The Wardrobe supports people navigating critical life transitions, including starting new jobs, returning from incarceration, recovery, or rebuilding stability. Proceeds from shopping and donations directly fund these programs, along with professional development resources, workshops, and one-on-one support designed to promote dignity, confidence, and self-sufficiency.

About Friends for Good

Established in Philadelphia in 2019, Friends for Good (FFG) is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) social philanthropic organization bringing together young professionals with a commitment to community service. FFG provides a space for our members to connect, gather, and socialize through local volunteer opportunities and signature fundraising events throughout the year.

FFG sets itself apart as a nonprofit organization, in that it is not limited to one beneficiary; in addition to our own projects, we support other local charitable efforts and nonprofits, allowing us to quickly respond to areas of the most pressing need.

By bringing together Friends with diverse backgrounds, experience, and interests, FFG serves the dual purpose of contributing to the local community, and of creating a community for those who join. We endeavor to encourage others to become involved, make new connections, and to make a positive impact, one person at a time.
