About the Alliance for American Leadership
The Alliance for American Leadership is a grassroots Political Action Committee dedicated to mobilizing the next generation of leaders and restoring America’s commitment to humanitarian aid. We believe an engaged youth electorate can change the trajectory of our country - especially when young people are mobilized around an important issue. That belief drives our work to increase youth turnout, elevate emerging leaders, and support policymakers who champion humanitarian aid.

Why Humanitarian and Development Aid?
Since the Trump Administration dismantled USAID’s humanitarian programs, more than 600,000 people have lost their lives. These cuts also hit home. USAID once purchased crops grown by American farmers and delivered them to starving children around the world. Today, both farmers and children have been left without support. And as America steps back, our competitors are stepping in: China and others are rapidly expanding their foreign aid footprints, filling the vacuum we created and reshaping global influence to their advantage.
Young people understand these stakes - and they want America to do the right thing. Our platform, centered on restoring these essential programs, has brought countless young Americans into the political process, including many first-time voters who had lost faith that politics could deliver real results. We're excited to be hosting Thomas because he understands how important it is for America to do the right thing and for young people to join the fight. Together, we can empower the next generation and reshape American foreign policy.
