then Vital Conditions tell us what is going on in our community. Vital conditions, like sufficient food and humane housing, describe what every person and community needs to reach their full potential... to thrive.

In 2020, over 100 people and organizations from all over the country, including a few from Winston-Salem, paused their day-to-day work to create Thriving Together: A Springboard for Equitable Recovery and Resilience in Communities across America. While born of the pandemic, this work aims to move us beyond recovery to genuine renewal. “The Springboard does not tell us what to do or how to act. It simply organizes the things that all people and places need in order to thrive.”

Special Guests include Monte Roulier, President and Co-Founder of Community Initiatives Network; Heidi Christensen of DHHS; Erin McDonald, Senior Advisor for the ELTRR; Hasani Mitchell, Community & Economic Development Program Administrator, Forsyth County.
