At Throwing Bones, we've been commited to helping individuals be 'cancer active' since 2017. Since then, we've made huge leaps towards creating more impact for patients, caretakers and providers. In 2023, we had a list of projects - two of which were the Cancer Active Support Groups and Cancer Active Education Panels. Both have been momumental successes, but in 2024 we have bigger goals in regards to the guests and professionals we bring on to support these events and by extension the patients and caregivers.

Your donation for our 2024 Campaign will help us make our projects a reality. It will allow us to connect with more professionals and experts, solidify our cadence of event occurance and work to expand our reach for these events so that we can truly provide invaluable support for patients and caretakers as well as create insightful dialogue amongst providers.

A person who is "cancer active" embraces a proactive and holistic approach to living with cancer, focusing on purposeful movement and comprehensive wellness strategies that encompass mental, physical, and nutritional health. Despite their diagnosis, a "cancer active" individual seeks to maintain and enhance their quality of life through various therapies, exercises, and lifestyle choices that support overall well-being and vitality. This term reflects a commitment and an empowered stance toward managing their health condition, aiming for the best possible outcomes in life with cancer.
