What's vulvovaginal/pelvic pain?

We use the term "vulvovaginal/pelvic pain" to refer to a variety of conditions that cause vulvar burning, rawness, itching, and pain; pain with penetration (sex, tampons, pelvic exams, etc), UTI-like symptoms, pain with urination, sitting, and tight pants.

What's Tight Lipped?

Tight Lipped is a storytelling and grassroots organization by and for people with chronic vulvovaginal and pelvic pain. We fight for a world where those with these conditions are diagnosed correctly, treated effectively, and given compassionate care. Our current campaign is focused on addressing the gaps in OB/GYN education and ensuring that every OB/GYN learns how to diagnose and manage vulvovaginal pain conditions.
