TIKKUN HaBrit Information:
CHAZAL (The Sages of Am Yisrael) have taught us that each time a person damages their BRIT by Wasting Seed or leads another person to sin by their behavior (i.e. promiscuity and/or Immodesty by women), they're damaging their soul, creating countless harmful mezikim (aka demons), and are at risk of LOSING Their Olam HaBa IF THEY DO NOT DO TESHUVA.
In Addition To TeShuva (i.e. Stop Sinning, Committing To Change, Apologize To HaShem, Overcome NEW Tests), there's a prescribed amount of fasts required. The TIKKUN (Rectification) is the fixing of the soul, and the ARIZAL wrote in his Sefer, Shaar Ruach HaKodesh, exactly how many fasts are required in order to fix each sin as part of a person's TeShuva.
