I was scrolling through my social media feed (Just like you I bet!) one day and a picture of a sick puppy caught my attention. She was frail, matted, and cowering in her cage. She had the saddest eyes I had ever seen at that time. She had been dumped and was battling parvo and pneumonia. Now most people might feel sorry to see such a sight, but I felt more than just that. I felt an instant connection. I felt I needed to be a part of her happily ever after. I was super impressed that The Little Red Dog went all in to save her life. The odds were not good, yet this incredible group of people stepped up. As you know, Jesse survived (she’s so tough) and my family and I adopted her! Our story is pretty much why The Little Red Dog does what it does: they save lives of the sweetest underdogs like Jesse and work endlessly to find them awesome forever homes. (Like us! Wink wink!) Jesse’s adoption forever changed my life. Not only did I bring home the coolest little scruff, I joined a rescue family and became passionate in supporting their rescue. Jesse is forever my poster pup in advocating for animal adoption (I hope you think of her too!) My uniquely beautiful, underbite rocking mutt deserved a second chance and she got it through the generosity of others supporting The Little Red Dog.
