Tom Ryan Picnic

Since 2024, Tom Ryan’s friends and family have joined together for the annual Tom Ryan Picnic: a fun day to reconnect, share laughs, and celebrate someone who meant so much to all of us.

Tom passed away in July 2023, leaving behind his wife Vicky, his daughters Helen and Olivia, and a large, loving circle of family, friends and colleagues who miss him dearly. He was a proud Nassau County Police Officer, a devoted father and husband, a beloved son and brother, and a friend cherished for his upbeat, enthusiastic nature.

The Tom Ryan Picnic is both a celebration and a fundraiser: Proceeds support Tom’s daughters, Olivia and Helen, and honor Tom’s legacy through the Tom Ryan Memorial Scholarship.

We hope you’ll join Tom’s family and friends for a day filled with laughter, memories, and the positive energy Tom brought to everyone around him.

Tom Ryan Memorial Scholarship

Since 2025, the Tom Ryan Memorial Scholarship is awarded each year to a graduating senior at Wagner High School, Tom’s alma mater, who carries his spirit forward by showing meaningful growth through the values that helped shape Tom's life: effort, resilience, and a positive, enthusiastic attitude.
