This year, Tonality became a two-time GRAMMY Award-winning ensemble.

Nomadica, the latest collaboration between composer Carla Patullo, the Scorchio Quartet, Martha Wainwright, and Tonality, won Best New Age, Ambient or Chant Album. It is the second GRAMMY in three years for this artistic partnership, and a deepening of the work we began with So She Howls in 2024.

Soon, the trophy will arrive.

Hosted by Dr. Alexander Lloyd Blake and the Tonality Board, this afternoon gathers a small circle of friends, patrons, and collaborators in a private home in Atwater Village. Together, we will open the GRAMMY for the first time. We will hear a live performance from Tonality artists. We will raise a glass to the work, the singers, and the stories that have carried us here.

It is also Tonality's tenth year. A decade ago, this organization was a single rehearsal in a borrowed room. Today it is a two-time GRAMMY-winning ensemble, a recording artist on Bright Shiny Things, and a creative producing organization at the intersection of artistic excellence and social storytelling.

This gathering is a thank you to the people who made that possible, and an invitation to the people who will help carry Tonality into its second decade.

Your support of this afternoon directly funds Tonality's tenth anniversary year. It strengthens the artistic and operational foundation we are building so that the next ten years of work, recording, touring, and storytelling can rest on something durable.
