50 Mile March Tornado Response Fund

The 50 Mile March is committed to our mission of empowering Veterans facing mental health challenges and homelessness by fostering a community of hope and relentless support.   While our focus has been grant making to nonprofit agencies and moving towards our Community of Hope campus vision, we also seek to serve immediate needs of our Veteran community.

On April 26, 2024, a violent tornado outbreak unleashed destruction across Nebraska and Iowa.  Many of our neighbors in the Omaha metro community have lost homes, personal property, pets, and more.  The 50 Mile March plans to respond to the immediate needs of Veterans in our community by starting a fund to support individual and Veteran families through microgrants to meet immediate needs including but not limited to:  hotel stays, food, clothing, and other essentials.

One-hundred percent of your financial support to the 50 Mile March Tornado Response Fund will be distributed directly to Veterans in need, with any funds not granted being donated to relief efforts.  This fund is testament to the strength of the 50 Mile March community and our commitment to those who have served for us.
