Ad Astra Advocacy Center (AAAC) is a safe, child-focused place where children who have experienced abuse or witnessed violence can share their story and receive support in a coordinated, compassionate way.

Instead of having a child retell their story multiple times to different professionals, AAAC brings together a multidisciplinary team — including law enforcement, child protective services, medical professionals, mental health providers, and victim advocates — to work collaboratively on the child’s case.

At AAAC, children can:

Participate in a forensic interview conducted by a trained professional in a supportive, non-leading manner
Access advocacy and crisis support for themselves and their families
Receive referrals for medical exams, counseling, and other wraparound services
Be supported in a space designed to promote safety, healing, and empowerment

In short, AAAC helps ensure that children and families get the help they need in one place, with professionals who work together to reduce trauma and promote healing.
