Add to Calendar 2024-03-16 10:00:05 2024-03-16 12:30:13 America/New_York Intermediate Toy Photography 101 with Kevin Epling The "Art" of toy photography has been steadily growing over the past few years, and here is your opportunity to see what it's all about. The goal of all photography is to engage the viewer and transport them to another place. Basic photographic, composition, and lighting information gained through the session can also be applied to other photography and art styles. The class will consist of three parts: General instruction- Practical Application- Open Time/Feedback Six stations containing Dioramas and lights will be provided for classroom use. Attendees will work on both solo and team exercises throughout the class session. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own 6-7" action figures for their practice and final setups. The requested size is based upon the dioramas and space available. General Instruction: Overview of the basics of photography and the use of light and shadows to create an image. Basic photographic techniques will focus on creating lighting for smaller-scale objects. Practical Application: Attendees will have the materials at each table to follow along and create images at each step through a lighting tutorial (Key/Fill/Rim/Bounce). Open Time/Feedback Time will be allotted for attendees to move about the room try out other dioramas and lighting and interact with other attendees on creating scenes they wish to photograph. <br> 300 S Washington Square Suite 100, Lansing, MI 48933, USA
