Warm Cup. Warm Hands. Warm Hearts.

It’s a chilly day. Your breath is visible in the cold, bitter air as you walk into your local coffee shop. With zero hesitation you order a caramel latte, handing the barista a crisp $5 bill. The moment the cup hits your hands you left out a sigh of relief, taking great comfort in the warmth as it spreads from your fingertips down to your toes.

Gloves, you ponder, would probably have worked just as well. And they’re far more cost effective than a caramel latte.

Five dollars, you imagine, could go an awful long way—especially for someone who needs it most.

Keeping Our Clients Warm

Unfortunately, there are hundreds of people experiencing homelessness in the Quad Cities, and many are in and out of services with The Project. As we assist them in accessing housing, medical care, and other critical resources, we’re asking for your help in providing the essentials to keep them warm this winter. Items we hope to buy with your donations include:

  • Winter hats
  • Winter coats
  • Gloves
  • Scarves
  • Hand warmers
  • Socks
  • Wet Wipes
  • Toilet Paper
  • Rain ponchos
  • Umbrellas

About The Project

Established in 1986, The Project serves people living with HIV through remarkable health care services in addition to operating the region’s largest sexual health clinic. Our core services include:

  • HIV medical case management
  • Mental health services
  • Sexual health and prevention
