Trans Relocation Fund Distribution

Astoria Food Pantry and Astoria Trans Collective are collaborating to raise funds to aid our trans siblings in the United States. When trans lives are under attack what do we do? STAND UP FIGHT BACK. 

Right now states' governments are passing bills that strip the basic rights of trans folks and threatening their existence. In Idaho the state legislature passed HB 572 making the the use of bathrooms by trans people a felony. In Kansas they passed SB 244 which is somehow worse!! It invalidated state-issued driver’s licenses with updated gender markers that reflect the carrier’s gender identity, stranding people at home where the only transportation available to people are their cars. We say fuck these transphobic fascists!! When they come for one of our trans siblings, they come for all of us. 

Thankfully there are a number of non-profits working to help by providing assistance to trans people living in the United States for relocation. All donations will go to organizations involved in this work.
