Transcendent Souls IV

Transcendent Souls is a classical concert series that celebrates the work of trans artists and highlights the intersection of transness and spirituality in collaboration with local churches. Transcendent Souls IV is our largest concert yet, featuring eleven trans composers and musicians on an all-cello program. Often described as the instrument most similar to the human voice, the cello offers a beautiful but imperfect imitation, with profound expression mediated by the body that produces it. This tension rhymes with religious and trans experience: the immortal soul in a mortal body, the self reaching toward what it might become.
