On February 16th, 2023, Travis learned the shocking news that he had cancer. The most challenging part of this news was that Travis was 32 years old and had no symptoms or warning signs before a routine lab test showed concerns in his liver. Within the next several weeks, the news worsened as we learned that he had stage IV colon cancer metastasized to the liver and lungs and a ~1% odds of survival. We sought treatment from multiple cancer hospitals, and he endured many cycles of chemotherapy, procedures, and a final effort of clinical trials. On June 6th, 2024, at 33 years old, Travis passed away after a courageous fight with cancer.
During his battle, he focused on spending quality time and having adventures with his family and friends. The family was introduced to Fuck Cancer, whose mission is to increase awareness for cancer screenings and education for prevention as well as provide VIP experiences for those fighting cancer. Fuck Cancer sponsored a fantastic event for Travis, which included his family and close friends to drive race cars at Speed Vegas. We will have unforgettable memories of how much fun and excitement we had with Travis on that adventure.
