Event
Minot Lions Club Tryslothalon Bar Crawl
Saturday from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM CDT
In Person
We walk, like, 3 blocks at slightly faster than sloth's rate. Crawl through an adults-only adventure of beer drinking, game playing, prize winning, coffee sipping, and donut eating. Group or individual costumes are common and encouraged! We've had sloths, T-rexes, The Grinch, jesters, ladies with wigs and walkers, anything goes (keep it legal, though. We have lawyers in our club). If you park near the Bricks building you'll have pretty quick access to both locations, or park downtown and enjoy a Saturday afternoon when you're done!
Story
We created this event as a way for our club to show off our shenanigans while also honoring our mission to provide service to the community. The TrySlothalon is all about having fun without all the stress and we think that we've been pretty successful. This will be our 5th year and we have raised over $12,000 so far. The Minot Lions have donated those funds back to a variety of causes, including organizations that offer free services to people with vision loss, individuals in need of financial assistance to purchase eyeglasses, local groups who provide meals and/or shelter, or many of our other mission-focused passions.
