I’m thrilled to participate in the London Landmarks Half Marathon to support Still I Run, a non-profit dedicated to promoting the mental health benefits of running—a cause that resonates deeply with me. For over 20 years, I’ve run through life’s ups and downs and have seen firsthand how running can enhance mental well-being.
Running releases endorphins, the “feel-good” hormones, and provides a mental reset, allowing us to focus on the present. The sense of achievement that comes from setting and reaching running goals can significantly boost self-esteem and resilience. Additionally, being part of a running community helps foster social connections, combating feelings of isolation and nurturing a sense of belonging.
By raising funds for Still I Run, I hope to inspire others to embrace running as a path to healing and connection. Each mile I complete in this half marathon represents a step toward breaking the stigma around mental health. I would greatly appreciate your support in helping me reach my fundraising goal.
