Hi, I'm Cada, and my journey into the arts began nearly seven years ago during my time at CYT Austin. There, I met Emily Calasopa, who became my vocal coach and, later, the founder of SOPA. When Emily left to start this program, I followed and had the honor of playing Snoopy in SOPA’s very first production!
Since then, I’ve had the privilege of taking on many roles, both on and off stage in many shows. I’ve also taught classes, directed camps, and co-directed my first full length production. SOPA has helped me grow in ways I never could have imagined, expanding the foundation of my early theater years in every possible direction—from performance and technical theater to leadership, directing, costuming, makeup, and even lighting! Thanks to SOPA, I’ve been able to contribute my skills in technical roles at other youth and community theater organizations.
But beyond the skills and experience, SOPA has given me something more meaningful: deep, lifelong relationships that I truly treasure. I’m so grateful for everything SOPA has given me, and I hope it will inspire YOU to discover the incredible potential within yourself.
