As the year comes to a close, we’re excited to announce critical energy-efficient upgrades at Turtle Island, offering a meaningful way for you to make a tax-deductible contribution before 2024 ends.
Home to the world’s largest and most diverse turtle collection, Turtle Island faces substantial operational costs. Rising global conflict has drastically increased electricity costs at Turtle Island, and this added financial strain, makes it more challenging to maintain optimal heating and power hundreds of tanks and filtration systems.
To address this, we plan to make energy efficient upgrades to our conservation center. One key upgrade is replacing our greenhouse roof with an ALL-TOP UV-permeable design, which will reduce energy costs by minimizing the need for UV lights and improving heating efficiency. Your support will ensure the well-being of our turtles while advancing global conservation efforts. Every gift, no matter the size, makes a tangible impact. Together, we can create a lasting impact on global turtle conservation!
