Peter was a writer, a social worker, and a deeply dedicated community organizer. As a young writer, he was close with Vincent Ferrini and eventually he served on the first board of the Gloucester Writers Center. Over the years he participated in dozens of GWC programs, generously mentoring many younger writers just as Vincent had mentored him. He was an activist, an advocate, and a model of integrity and perseverance. I’ve been told that some of those young writers affectionately called him Papou: the Greek word for grandfather.
Thank you for donating in memory of Peter.
