Jacob Mears is a Senior at Patrick Henry High School. He was most recently in TYP's production of Chicago, playing the role of Billy Flynn, which was his 18th production with TYP and 26th production overall. His favorite roles include Gavroche in Les Misérables, Nick Bottom in Something Rotten, and the Hermes in Hadestown. He was also fortunate to be a cast member in The Evolution of Calpurnia Tate at Lamb's Players Theater in Coronado, being his first and only professional hire.

Besides performing in TYP productions, Jacob has been very involved in other aspects of TYP. He has been participating in Summer Camps and Junior Company Productions by Directing, Assistant Directing, Stage Managing, Tech Managing, and is currently Music-Directing TYP's production of Beetlejuice Jr. In addition, he is currently in the position of President in the TYP Youth Board and is heavily engaged in other TYP events.

Outside of theater, Jacob is strongly engaged in Robotics, being a founding member of a local FIRST Robotics team, now competing in its 8th season. On the team, he participates by executing digital design, financing, robot driving, and marketing. At school, he has taken many engineering courses and is on track to complete both the Architecture and Product Development pathways. He is very passionate about the topic and plans on becoming an engineer after college.
