The Tulsa Youth Symphony is a 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1963 with a mission to provide advanced musical training and exceptional performance opportunities to our community’s future leaders. Our goal is to improve problem-solving skills, stimulate creativity, expand the imagination, and instill a love and passion for music thereby developing an ability to recognize beauty and formulate an appreciation for the arts.

At TYS, we pride ourselves on teamwork and dedication. We know every student in our Orchestras is talented and deserving to take part in a community that lifts them up to their highest potential. With 95% of our students being 4 year university bound, we do not take lightly that the opportunity to take part in this music education program is special and can set a student up for success in any career they choose - IF they are able to participate.
