Meet Christopher

Christopher has been incarcerated for 17 years. He recently saw his daughter, Chris, and is looking forward to sharing the Father-Daughter Dance with her. “What I love about my daughter is she’s smart, a 4.0 student, and she’s graduating this year,” he says. “She’s got a pretty smile, she made the right decisions in life, and I’m so proud of her.”

Christopher says his faith in Jesus began when he realized there had to be more to life. “I dived into the Bible and never looked back,” he recalls. “Jesus is my provider, my father, my friend — someone I can count on and trust. He’ll never leave me or forsake me.”

At the dance, Christopher says he already knows what he’ll tell his daughter: “You look so beautiful. I love the way you’ve done your hair, the way you dance. Having that moment with you is priceless.”
