The Historic East Cobb Complex in Marietta, Georgia, will once again be the epicenter of the youth travel baseball world this August, as the 12U (August 8-10) and 11U (August 7-9) Select Festivals will overlap at the East Cobb Complex in Marietta, Ga. The 12U event is now in its sixth season while the 11U event is celebrating its fifth year.

This year’s rosters will feature players from twenty different states and three countries, including those from the Dominican Republic, Canada, and the United States. Florida leads the way with eleven participants, while California (10) and Texas (9) round out the top three.

28 of the best 11U players both near and far will compete, while their brethren in the 12U Festival will have 36 of the best 12U players once again. Both age groups will go through a series of practices, workouts, and exciting activities leading up to their respective games.

For those not familiar with this particular event, the Perfect Game Select Festival started back in 2016 at the 14U level, and those rosters featured some pretty familiar names in LSU’s star outfield and Golden Spikes winner Dylan Crews, as well as first-round picks in Mick Abel and Robert Hassell III. Continuing to put players first and provide unique opportunities for amateur and youth players, Perfect Game announced the 13U iteration in 2019, followed shortly thereafter by the 12U (2020) and 11U (2021) iterations. As you comb through any of those original rosters, you’re bound to recognize several of the names as you begin looking at the current class rankings and lining them up to the rosters, speaking to the actual overall talent that’s already out there.

All Select Festival games will be streamed live at PerfectGame TV and through the free PGTV app, allowing fans worldwide to follow the action of future generations of baseball stars. As always, the events will feature high-level competition and provide memorable experiences for players, families, and fans.

The Elite Development Academy (EDA) is a transformative initiative addressing economic and racial disparities in baseball.
