Hot Summer, Big Dreams: Help Launch the Tour
This summer, I’m hitting the road for my first official tour — starting in my hometown of New York City, and ending in Ireland, the homeland of my ancestors.
Why now?
Because the universe gave me a clear sign: within one week, I lost both of my jobs. One of the firings wouldn’t have even been legal in NY, CO, or CA. But instead of spiraling, I sat in meditation. The first job made sense — I was only working once a week, and they needed someone with more availability. But the second came out of nowhere.
I sat in meditation and had a flash of inspiration: It is TIME to go on TOUR.
I've been making music for over a decade, and haven't asked for financial support. But things are different now. I’m not just a performer. I’m producing, teaching, empowering others, and building something that’s both personal and communal.
This tour isn’t just a string of shows. It’s a connected to a greater mission.
What your support funds:
-
Travel, lodging, and basic tour expenses
-
Documentation — I’ll be interviewing artists and community members about how music brings vibrancy, resilience, and connection to their lives
-
Living expenses that let me focus fully on creating, performing, and producing without burning out
As an academic at heart, I see this tour also as the beginning of a deeper ethnographic journey — one that may evolve into a dissertation exploring how Hip Hop Culture (and specifically the Underground) is a model of successful, empowering and celebrated diversity in America.
Hip Hop changed my life. It helped me through depression, insecurity, and self-doubt. It’s helped me find my voice. When people told me to quit — when an ex told me I “sucked at music” — I kept going.
Now, I’m coaching other artists.
This is me living my truth. If you believe in this vision — in art as healing, in Hip Hop as beautiful culture and community — I’d be honored to have your support.
Any amount helps, and sharing is powerful too.
Let’s build this dream together.
With love and gratitude,
