NV Black Maternal Health Week 2025
Black Maternal Health Week
Black Maternal Health Week is a national initiative dedicated to raising awareness, strengthening advocacy, and building community to address the Black maternal health crisis in the United States.
Black women, across all socioeconomic backgrounds, are two to three times more likely to die from pregnancy-related causes than white, Hispanic, and Asian/Pacific Islander women. These disparities are rooted in structural racism and reinforced by social determinants of health, including access to care, education, and supportive resources.
Through this work, we advance health equity, promote prenatal and postpartum care, address stigma and discrimination, strengthen community engagement, and support research, collaboration, and holistic wellness.
Join us in advancing Black maternal health.
Your tax-deductible contribution helps resource community-led solutions, strengthen advocacy, and ensure Black mothers receive the care, dignity, and support they deserve.
