As we continue to hear devastating news about innocent civilians wrongfully killed by the US & UK military, the Kalaam Project has decided to honor the martyrs by building solar paneled water wells in their names. 

Afghanistan has been hit hard by climate change, suffering from an ongoing drought and flash floods. The country is drying out, and with border tensions, the people of Afghanistan do not have easy access to clean water. With an increase in solar paneled water wells in rural villages, we will be able to create easier access to water for Afghans. 

Each solar paneled water well will cost around $2500 USD, depending on the terrain of the land. Each well will be built in th neighborhood of the martyred Afghan. Below is a list of Afghan martyrs that we have compiled thus far, and we will be aiming to build a solar paneled water well in each of their names. This is important because in Islam, we believe that people live on in the Barzakh, and may hear about sadaqah jariyah in their names. Let's tell the martyrs that we have not forgotten them, and that they did not die in vain.
