Talking Turkey: Using Neuroscience to Master Challenging Thanksgiving Conversations

We'll start with a brief overview of what happens in our brains and bodies as we have challenging conversations. Then we'll explore tools to help us control some of our hard-wired responses to disagreement. We'll end by creating personal action plans for how to prepare for and hold such conversations, whether over the holidays or at other times. Here's to a happy Thanksgiving!

Registration fees support the National Association for Community Mediation (NAFCM). NAFCM was formed in 1994 to link and support a network of 300+ locally led dispute resolution centers that now include partners across the United States and Canada. Together, NAFCM and these centers are developing creative and constructive responses to emerging conflicts in our local communities. Thirty years later, NAFCM and centers are providing special support to communities addressing challenges of our 2025 political and cultural environment.
