ANNUAL APPEAL 2025-26

Our school has great things in store for students this year, but the current economic landscape makes it very difficult without additional help from our school community. This year, we are facing a new financial landscape with rising costs and many families losing benefits that are dear. The Annual Appeal Fund from the PTA aims to elevate and enrich our students’ school experiences and help families adjust to the loss of benefits. Please give the most meaningful donation amount you can. Maker is a special place, specifically because you are here! Donations benefit all Urban Assembly Maker students. The PTA will hold a general membership vote on how to spend money received as needs arise. All families have a say in how donated funds are used.

Urban Assembly Maker Academy Parent Teacher Association has recently become a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, enabling tax-deductible contributions.

Maker’s make it happen together, and that includes the PTA!

We aim to raise $25 per student, which for an academic calendar of 180 days is just .14 cents per school day or one less bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich a week. The current enrollment of 530 students makes our goal $13,250! It intends to fill school budget gaps in the following areas:

College discovery
Health & Wellness- Food /Clothing/ Essentials for those facing insecurity
Community Meals & Events
Clubs or Enrichments
Gift Cards for Graduates to help with College.

Do you work for a large corporation? Do you know your company policy on philanthropic giving? In a few steps, you can check to see if your company will financially match your gift and increase your impact. Here’s what you can do:

Step 1: Contact your employer’s Human Resources department to see if they offer a matching gift program to increase your donation.

Step 2: Your Human Resources department will point you in the right direction and let you know if you need to fill out any necessary forms, process, and be aware of submission deadlines. The PTA can provide our EIN# or tax-exempt certificate if necessary.
