The UIUCares Scholarship Program is a targeted initiative to support high-potential, underserved secondary school students by providingfinancial assistance to enhance their academic performance.This program aligns with SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), by focusing on alleviating financial barriers that prevent students from accessing quality education.

Since February 2022, the program has awarded scholarships to 40 deserving students across eleven schools, six in Enugu State and five in

Anambra State. The program has had a transformative impact, enabling recipients to pursue

education without financial constraints, fostering hope and motivating academic

excellence. UIUCares collaborates with schools to identify beneficiaries, ensuring that support reaches those who need it most.

By providing these scholarships, the initiative enables students to stay enrolled in school, improve their grades, and pursue higher

education or career paths, reinforcing the organization’s commitment to nurturing talent in underserved communities and

promoting equitable educational opportunities. This initiative invests in the academic potential of underserved youth, creating

opportunities for upward mobility.
