Umaima Khan's Fundraiser for Scleroderma United
Why I'm Fundraising: Volunteering for this campaign is a meaningful way to contribute to a cause that holds true importance. The resilience and strength displayed by individuals facing scleroderma inspire me to become actively involved and make a positive impact.
My interest in this community is fueled by a sincere desire to assist those affected by this disease. Through volunteering, my goal is to raise awareness and vital resources to support research and patient care. I invite you to join me in this endeavor to enhance the lives of those battling scleroderma. Together, we can work towards a brighter future for them.
About Scleroderma United: Scleroderma United is an international 501(c)(3) nonprofit connecting and empowering people with the rare autoimmune disease scleroderma. All 45 of Scleroderma United's Board Members are volunteers, and 100% of your donation goes toward our mission of serving the patient community. Our primary initiatives include our Scleroderma Stories publication (which has reached over 10,000 people in 78 countries) and Patient-Led Education Program. In particular, we are fundraising for our development of the first-ever online course for children with scleroderma to better understand the illness and learn how to navigate life with scleroderma.
Scleroderma United is a qualified 501(c)(3) charitable organization (EIN 84-3826155), and donations are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.
