A consistent education is a powerful tool that breaks the cycle of childhood homelessness and elevates kids, families, and communities.

UpSpring is proud to be the only nonprofit in Greater Cincinnati solely dedicated to meeting the educational needs of children experiencing homelessness. Each year, we empower the lives of over 4,000 local children in our community. Since our founding in 1998, we've elevated more than 45,000 children.

We measure our impact using validated metrics, with a focus on math scores, literacy skills, and social-emotional wellbeing. Our results have consistently shown that our approach is effective. By ensuring children stay engaged in their education, we can empower children experiencing homelessness to break the cycle of poverty. When a child believes that they can be successful, they have hope for the future and feel empowered to change and contribute to the community.
