Our mission includes working with children in either their schools or at our Farm. The emergence of the pandemic and resulting school closures led us to cancel all of our Spring and Summer programming which included fieldtrips, home school enrichment, parent/child workshops, and teacher trainings.
We’ve had to make major budget cuts and significant changes to how we serve families. It’s been an overwhelming time for this small but dedicated staff. Urban Roots is mission driven and has created an incredible alternative to bringing hands-on educational opportunities to families in their home, but we are still making up lost revenue from cancelled programming.

The wild beauty of California’s central coast is best paired with a stay in this 24-room boutique hotel in downtown Carmel. You’ll be welcomed by the warmth of Craftsman-style architecture, fireplaces, and amenities. The hotel's modern yet charming accommodations are located within strolling distance of fine restaurants and shops, and a short drive from the Monterey regional airport. This lovely package also includes dinner at lauded Italian restaurant, Vesuvio, one evening courtesy of Carmel by the Sea.
