Frankie Vigil's Story
Healthy eating changes every aspect of one's life, which is why I support Urban Roots. I want to help ensure that children in our community understand the benefits of healthy eating, learn what it takes to grow the food that they eat and take that learning back into the classroom. Urban Roots is Changing the Way Kids Eat and Learn! Please support Urban Roots by donating today, attending Art, Roots & Boots and helping spread the word about this amazing event and organization!

Our mission includes working with children in either their schools or at our Farm. The emergence of the pandemic and resulting school closures led us to cancel all of our Spring and Summer programming which included fieldtrips, home school enrichment, parent/child workshops, and teacher trainings.
We’ve had to make major budget cuts and significant changes to how we serve families. It’s been an overwhelming time for this small but dedicated staff. Urban Roots is mission driven and has created an incredible alternative to bringing hands-on educational opportunities to families in their home, but we are still making up lost revenue from cancelled programming.
