We, The Flavor Continues (TFC) est. 2019, is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization based in Greater Boston, Massachusetts, USA that serves the Street and Club Dance Communities. Our vision is to create a sustainable foundation for the culture by advocating for equitable representation while creating new opportunities for current dancers through a multifaceted approach; one that targets all demographics and geographical locations.

Giving Tuesday is the largest fundraiser we are launching in 2021 to wrap up the year. We have several aspects to our organization we're looking to fundraise for:

1) Education

- Social Emotional Learning (SEL) classes: $120 will support one private or one open class for social emotional learning for our youth. These classes are catered towards teaching youth self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship building skills, and responsible decision making skills - all vital for the success of youth. We have a couple of schools on the line wanting to work with us who cannot currently because of funding. Funding here will go towards our teachers, teachers' training (compensation and trainer costs), admin costs, and equipment costs.

- Specialty Workshops: $120 will provide one specialty workshop. These workshops are one time workshops provided by our staff for free to requesting schools and/or organizations who may not be able to afford it. This includes teacher's costs and admin costs.

2) Space Campaign

- Towards one cohesive space that is created by our community and for our community. It creates a safe space, a center where people can exchange ideas, passions, voices, learn new things about one another, individually, their craft, and so much more. To be absolutely transparent and realistic - space is expensive, and looking for a space takes a long time. Our plan is to secure temporary locations, with the intentions of building a strong portfolio, network with developers, spacing authorities, and other nonprofits, in order to look for a permanent housing for our community. Our philosophy in how this space will be used for you? Basing everything off of our equity vision, that everyone will be able to utilize this space based off of what they can afford as opposed to a fixed price.

3) Grassroot Events

- Grassroot events generally costs anywhere between $5,000 to $35,000 to host. Donating to this initiative will help us cover the costs of venue, equipment, insurance, travel costs, staying costs, and event personnel (runners, coordinators, photographers, videographers, dancers, etc.).

4) General Operations support

- This supports the backbone of our organization; the legal, financial, grant-writing, administrative support, strategy carving, creating networks, volunteer training, operations for programming, Equipment support (physical and software support) -- pretty much everything you can think of of what runs the organization is funded by this section.
