New York Asian Film Festival is known for bringing the best, new, cutting-edge storytelling from Asia and the Asian diaspora. NYAFF’s mission isn’t to become a blockbuster machine. Instead, it’s an opportunity to open windows into other worlds and to inject a bit of joy, curiosity, and compassion into people’s lives.

Since 2002, the New York Asian Film Festival has been an annual celebration of Asian cinema. As the first film festival in North America to champion the works of today’s leading Asian auteurs, NYAFF continues to introduce vibrant and vital voices ranging from not-so-ordinary stories of the everyday, to eccentric arthouse gems and explosive blockbusters. As we celebrate Asian stories and voices more than ever, NYAFF provides an essential connection and awareness to our community, to New Yorkers, and beyond.

The New York Asian Film Foundation Inc. is America’s premier 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the exhibition and appreciation of Asian film culture in all its forms.

The New York Asian Film Foundation’s flagship event is the annual New York Asian Film Festival (NYAFF), which has been presented in collaboration with Film at Lincoln Center since 2010.
