LOVEPAWS (League of Volunteers Enhancing P.G. Animal Welfare and Safety) is an outreach, advocacy and rescue organization improving the welfare of the underdogs in our community: shelter animals and pet owners in under-resourced communities in Prince George’s and Montgomery Counties, MD. We provide critical community services like our pet pantry and spay/neuter subsidies to keep pets in homes and pull animals from local shelters, with a focus on the pit bulls of Prince George’s County facing the nation’s largest breed ban, which we advocate to repeal. By keeping families whole and reducing the number of at-risk animals in our local shelters, we are uplifting our community, one pet at a time.
