Women of Courage Awards Gala and Fundraiser 2025
This wonderful Gala and Awards ceremony and experience celebrates 18 women who exemplify the strength, resilience, and courage of Mamie Till Mobley the mother of Emmett Louis Till lynched in 1955 for whistling at Carolyn Bryant Donham. Mamie chose to have an open casket funeral to let the world see what was done to her son. This act of defiance and courage was the impetus for the civil rights movement.
Like Mamie, these 18 remarkable women have demonstrated the ability to transform tragedy into “a lasting legacy of courage and hope” and inspire others through their extraordinary actions.
Your generosity will support our mission of educating, advocating, empowering, inspiring, and providing higher education scholarships, historical tours and current life changing educational and mental health and wellness healing opportunities for the next generation, their families and families impacted by traumatic, historical and present day violence and injustice.
