We're back for our third season and ready to grow an even more beautiful, enjoyable garden for the entire community to enjoy and engage with.

Common Grounds, a community garden based in Lakewood, NJ, serves as an oasis of beauty and nature, as well as a unifying force that all residents of Ocean County can benefit from. Our gardens allow a safe place for families, neighbors and individuals of all ages to gather and learn. Last year we hosted hundreds of visitors for a range of events, tours and workshops.

To continue providing free events and programs for participants of all ages, we need your support. This year, additional tools, supplies and building and irrigation materials are needed. We rely on people like you to help us keep our garden free and accessible.

Please do your part to ensure that we can all continue to benefit from this community garden that has become a place of unity and beauty for all of us.

This season we have some very exciting events planned including a Pollinator Party, Spring Open House, Girls' Night Out, Senior event, Fall Festival and more. We want these events to be free or as low cost as possible to enable all residents of Ocean County to participate. With your help, we can continue providing free events and programs for individuals, seniors, families and students to enjoy.

One Ocean County, a 501c3 pending non-profit serving Ocean County, New Jersey and the surrounding areas was started by local Orthodox Jewish community activists. We aim to foster dialogue and positive interaction between the region’s Orthodox Jewish community and their neighbors. Our vision is a diverse but mutually respectful greater Ocean County regional area where everyone feels connected and celebrated.
