At Vámonos Outside, we believe the outdoors belongs to everyone. Our mission is to create opportunities by and for youth of color and their families to connect with nature, experience personal transformation, and deepen a sense of belonging.

For too many Latine, BIPOC, and immigrant families, systemic barriers—financial, cultural, and historical—have limited access to outdoor recreation and the healing power of the land. Since 2019, Vámonos Outside has helped hundreds of families step into outdoor spaces with confidence, joy, and community.

Through culturally-rooted programming, leadership development, outdoor education, and affinity-based experiences, we are building a future where communities of color thrive outside—breaking cycles of oppression, exclusion, and lovingly restoring connection to land and self.
