Every 6 minutes, a young life is interrupted and for far too many, that interruption is forever.

OUR VISION - Every teen and young adult with cancer has the resources necessary to transform challenge into strength, uncertainty into resilience, and vulnerability into personal power in order to live their lives fully and with purpose.

OUR MISSION - 13thirty Cancer Connect was established in 2001 by Lauren Spiker after the death of her 19-year-old daughter, Melissa, in 2000. Our mission is to help teens and young adults diagnosed with cancer meet their unique challenges through a coordinated, continuum of essential resources and public advocacy efforts. From grassroots beginnings, we've grown into an internationally respected leader in the adolescent and young adult cancer field, with Centers in both Rochester and Syracuse and a global network of support. We're celebrating 25 YEARS of making a difference!
