Bright Prospect believes in Education For All. That belief has been the guiding force since our founding in 2002 and remains the foundation for all that we do. Since then, we have helped over 39,000 low-income, first-generation students get to and through college.

With education funding being cut/diverted and changes to FAFSA and PELL grants, the education landscape is very uncertain right now. While we don’t directly receive federal funding, the ripple effect of these different policies is having a significant impact on our students and their families.

With all of these changes, programs like Bright Prospect that aren’t deemed essential but “nice to have” are more important than ever. These are the circumstances where students who don’t have the means, resources or support systems get lost in the cracks, missing opportunities that could change the course of their lives. While there is uncertainty for what’s to come, we remain deeply committed to empowering low-income, first-generation students to and through college—no matter what it takes.
