Verily Magazine is the first women's magazine founded with a no-Photoshop policy and a commitment to never objectify women. We remain dedicated to uplifting and encouraging women to live authentic lives.
Last year, we became a nonprofit. We are reliant on funds from donors who are committed to our mission. One of our donors has agreed to match up to $90,000, which we need to meet to successfully transition to the nonprofit model. Can you help us reach this goal?
For the past 12 years, we have a demonstrated commitment to quality content creation, an unwavering vision, and production quality. But we need the funds to continue going strong. Responding to trends of digital overwhelm and declining mental health for women, Verily Magazine added a print component in 2022, starting with our 10th Anniversary Special Issue and following with a quarterly magazine for subscribers. Currently, the print costs themselves are low, but we need funding to maintain and grow key staff to continue creating and further market the high-quality content we are known for.
Our goal remains to change the culture through positive women's media. To accelerate our impact, we're exploring innovative strategies and wider distribution avenues, such as sending issues to thousands of salons, doctors' offices, and other frequented locations where women spend hours weekly reading available magazines in waiting rooms. We are also in talks with major retail chains like airport newsstands book stores, and other shops nationwide. But while we pursue these exciting opportunities, we need funding to carry us over.
Women's media needs to change if we want to change the culture. Will you join us in the movement to make a difference?
